Oct 12-19 : Sail on your transatlantic cruise from New York to London. While on the Queen Mary all of your meals and nightly entertainment is included. Upon arrival in London you will be transferred to you hotel for a two-night stay. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
Oct 19: Offered is the option of a London hop on hop off pass so that you can see London at your own pace. Visit the Tower of London, see the crown jewels, see the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace. Breakfast is served before you leave the Queen Mary.
Oct 20: A second full day to enjoy London at your own pace. You may want to visit Windsor Castle, shop the London shops take a sightseeing tour, or visit a museum. Perhaps it is a ride on the London Eye or a walking tour through historic parliament. Breakfast included.
Oct 21: Board the Euro Star train for a trip through the Chunnel direct London to Paris. On arrival in Paris you will be taken on a Paris orientation sight seeing tour before being transferred to your hotel. Perhaps you will want to spend time at the Louvre or at Notre Dame. Tonight we have included a trip on the Seine River followed by an illumination tour so you can see the “City of Lights” in its splendor. No need to worry about handling your luggage your luggage will be checked and claimed in Paris. Breakfast and Dinner included.
Oct 22: Travel north to the champagne region for a tour and tasting of the wine country. Your first stop will be Moet and Chandon the makers of Dom Perignon. We will visit two other wineries before departing the region Lunch will be included at a local restaurant. For those not interested in wine tasting Paris offers numerous sightseeing options. Breakfast and Lunch included. Oct 23: This morning visit the Palace of Versailles and have included the audio tour for your enjoyment. On the return stop at the Eiffel Tower for a panoramic view. Tonight the option of an evening at the Moulin Rouge ( $130 per person) is offered. Breakfast and Dinner included.
Oct 24: Today is your last day to enjoy the wonders of Paris. Perhaps you might take in a fashion show, visit Sacred Heart Cathedral, stroll the Gardens, take a sightseeing tour or visit a museum. Tonight take an overnight train to Rome. On board the train you will have a sleeping compartment with 4 individual berths. Breakfast included.
Oct 25: This morning you will wake up in Rome. Before checking into your hotel take a Rome Orientation Tour to give you an idea of where things are located. The balance of the day is free to explore Rome on your own. Dinner included.
Oct 26: Your day will begin with a private tour of the Vatican Museum. This is the best way to see the Vatican as you are not herded with the other tour groups. The remainder of the afternoon is free to explore Rome on your own. Perhaps a walking tour of Ancient Rome is for you, or a visit the Coliseum, or the Catacombs. Visiting the Spanish steps or the Trevi fountain might be your thing. The afternoon is yours to enjoy. Breakfast and Dinner included.
Oct 27: You have a day to the explore the Eternal City on your own. This is the perfect time to catch up on laundry, purchase a hop on hop off pass, or take a walking tour. Your guide will be able to offer you numerous suggestions. Breakfast and Dinner included.
Oct 28: This morning you will be transferred to the train station for your trip to Florence. On arrival in Florence your luggage will be transferred to the hotel and a local guide will take you on a walking tour of the Old City. The remainder of the day is free to explore Florence. If you want to visit the famous galleries or see Michael Angelo’s David Tye's Top Tour & Travel's staff can assist you with advance reservations. Breakfast and Dinner included.
Oct 29: The day is dedicated to the food and wine of Tuscany. Visit the town of Grave de Chianti where you will have the opportunity to taste the Chianti wines, the wonderful cheeses and the cured hams. This day is sure to be a highlight of your tour. Breakfast and Dinner included.
Oct 30: Today is a free day to explore Florence on your own. Perhaps it is the city markets, the upscale shopping, or the numerous galleries that will interest you. Breakfast and Dinner included.
Oct 31: Travel by train today from Florence to the French Riviera. On arrival in Cannes you will be transferred to your hotel for a four-night stay. Breakfast and Dinner included.
Nov 1 : The day is yours to explore the old city, perhaps do laundry relax, by the pool, send post cards, shop and just slow down for a day. When traveling on an extended trip it is important to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. Breakfast and Dinner included.
Nov 2 : It is off to Monte Carlo today. You will have time to explore the old city, walk the gardens, play in the Casino and enjoy the principality. On your way to Monte Carlo you will stop for a visit to the famous Nice Flower Market, and in the town of Eze know for its Perfume factories. Breakfast and Dinner Included
Nov 3: A morning cruise will show you the islands off the coast of Cannes. Honnerat island is a perfect place to enjoy a picnic with friends. Grab a bottle of wine, fresh fruit, bread, cheese and other supplies in the market place before heading to the islands. At the islands stroll the beautiful grounds, visit the monastery and enjoy the picturesque views. Breakfast and Dinner included.
Nov 4: This morning you will board the train for Barcelona. The train departs at 9:00 am and arrives at 8:00 pm. On arrival in Barcelona you will be transferred to your hotel. Breakfast included.
Nov 5: This morning you will meet with your fellow travelers just doing the Spain and cruise portion of the trip. After getting the whole group together you will have an included sightseeing tour of Barcelona followed by Dinner and an Evening Flamingo Folk Show Breakfast and Dinner included.
Nov 6: The morning is free to explore the wonders of Barcelona. This proud capital of ancient Catalonia is a land with its own language and culture. Steeped in passionate Catalan spirit, Barcelona has been home to Picasso, Miro, Dali, and Gaudi and Casals. The city's pulse can be felt along the winding, flower-decked "Ramblas". Explore its history from the 14th century Gothic Quarter, where the aroma of Catalan cooking leads you down twisting alleyways to little cafes where they dance the Sardana. See superb architecture ranging from Gaudi-designed buildings, such as the unfinished Sagrada Familia cathedral, to the striking structures built for the 1992 Olympics. Nov 7: This morning wake up in Palma de Mallorca, long an artist's haven since Chopin and George Sand discovered its charms, Mallorca has more than golden beaches to commend it. Nov 8: When you wake up you will be in Alicante Spain. This bright city on the Costa del Sol was founded by the ancient Greeks in 325 B.C, who called it Akra Leuka ('White Summer') for its impressive headlands. The Moors ruled here for over five centuries, and reminders of their passing can be discovered in the winding alleyways of the Old Quarter. The views from the 1,000 foot Balcon del Mediterraneo are superb. Breakfast Lunch and dinner included.
Nov 9: You arrive in Malaga today. Laze among the seafront cafes of the palm-fringed waterfront, one of the most peaceful of the Costa del Sol, or explore the Moorish fortress. A short drive away, in the suntanned interior of Andalusia, is the charming mountain village of Mijas, or the unbelievable artistry and scenic beauty of Grenada's Alhambra, the most striking Moorish castle in the world. Nov 11: You will arrive in Funchal Portugal on Madeira Island. When you finish breakfast you will be in the island of Madeira, known for its grass toboggans and wine. Madeira is brimming with smiles and color. It is, more often than not, warm, sunny and mild Madeira is located in the eastern Atlantic Ocean southwest of Portugal and off the coast of Africa. The island is breathtakingly beautiful with spectacular views and something for everyone Portugal has controlled Madeira for over 500 years, and many British citizens (as well as other nationalities) have immigrated there for the past 200 years The island is a very popular European tourist destination, About 90,000 of the 250,000 people on Madeira live in Funchal, the capital city. At 36 miles (58 km) long and 15 miles (23 km) wide, the island is not very large, but because it is so mountainous, travel is slow. We took a shore excursion from the Silver Whisper on a 4-wheel-drive jeep, which allowed us to see some of the backcountry and precipitous valleys on the island Breakfast lunch and dinner included.
Nov 12: The Constellation docks at Tenerife in the Canary Islands. The lushness of the gardens and the agreeable atmosphere are very special features of this city, which has lively places to stroll around. In the evening the streets near the Plaza del Charco and the promenade are pleasant places of enjoyment where one can eat at any of the many open air restaurants, all this in a pleasant climate and with the ever present sea. The city houses a number of buildings of great historical and artistic value such as the church of Nuestra Señora de la Peña, la Ermita de San Telmo, el castillo de San Felipe, la casa de la Aduana and the old quay where small fishing boats are still moored This is your last Port of call before crossing the Atlantic Ocean to the USA.
