Day 1: Fly from USA to Paris Today you will fly from the USA to Paris Day 2: Arrive Paris When you smell the coffee it will be time to wake up in Paris. Your room will be ready early in the afternoon. While waiting, Tye's will include a "Hop On/Hop Off" pass that will allow you to explore Paris at your own pace. Tonight features dinner followed by a cruise along the Seine. (Breakfast in Flight/D) Day 3: Paris Sightseeing The day begins with a French breakfast (assorted breads, fruits, cereals, pastry, juices, cold meats and hard boiled eggs, coffee and tea). After breakfast, visit the Louvre where you will have time to explore the museum and see what interests you most. In the afternoon, a visit to the Palace of Versailles will be included, along with an audio wand so you can tour the palace in as much depth as you desire. End the day with a visit to the Eiffel Tower to see Paris illuminated at night. If you are not interested in museums, you can trade either the visit to the Louvre, or the Palace of Versailles for another day "Hop On/Hop Off" pass. The pass does multiple loops around Paris. (B/D) Day 4: Wine Tasting in Epernay Today takes you to the champagne regions of France via train where you will see spectacular vineyards. The first stop will be at the Mercier Vineyard where you will take an underground train ride through the champagne cellars. Next, enjoy lunch in the charming village of Eperney, followed by a visit to Moet and Chandon. This evening, return to Paris where you have the option of a visit to the Moulin Rouge for a spectacular show (100 Euros). (B/L) Day 5: Nice / Canes You are off to the southern part of France by air, arriving in Nice in the early afternoon. It will be the perfect time to stroll through the Nice Flower Market. You may want to purchase treats to enjoy while in Southern France. (B/D) Day 6: Monaco Your travels will take you to the Principality of Monaco and the Cote de Azure. The first top will be the village of EZE, where you will learn how perfume is made. There will be time to climb up to the medieval walled city for a panoramic view. Then travel on to Monaco for the changing of the guards and pay a visit to the casino at Monte Carlo. (There is a charge for visiting the main casino, but slot machines are free in the smaller casino.) For those that want to stay at the casino, there will be a shuttle returning to the hotel at midnight. Please note that if you visit the casino of Monte Carlo after 6:00pm, you will be required to dress. (B/D) Day 7: Isle de Mediterranean The morning is yours to enjoy the warm Mediterranean waters. Perhaps you will want to stroll the beach or shop in the old town. This afternoon will feature a cruise where you will be able to enjoy the views of the French Riviera from waterside. A stop at the historic Honerant Island where you can visit the monastery, the fort, or enjoy this tranquil setting is included. Stop at a market place so you may purchase supplies for a picnic on the monastery grounds and then take some time to enjoy the grounds of the monastery. Tonight features a farewell banquet including wine. (B/D) Day 8: Home Fly from Nice back to the United States filled with memories of springtime in Paris. |
