Depart for a visit to one of New Hampshire’s best chocolate makers. You will have a tour of the factory, learn how chocolates are filled, and in some cases, dusted with gold. There will be plenty of samples for everyone to taste. A highlight for many is the chocolate fountains where you can dip fruits and pastry in a shower of chocolate. This is a sweet way to begin any trip.
Next, travel on to one of New Hampshire's wineries. Upon arrival at the winery you will have a tour of the facility, learning how a small winery bottles and makes its wine. Before tasting some of the wines, you will learn a few of the terms used to describe wine and how to choose the right wine for the type of food being served. On some days, there will be a lobster bake right at the winery. On other days, there will be a visit to a local restaurant.
After lunch, visit a second winery for a tour and tasting. On some tours, visit the General John Stark distillery and sample a premium vodka made from New England apples.
