Day 1: Arrival New York Your tour director will meet you outside of customs. On your way to the hotel, the tour director will provide an orientation to Manhattan. Dinner will be included at a local restaurant. (D) Day 2: New York City The day begins with breakfast at a nearby restaurant followed by a sightseeing tour of New York. On the tour you will see as much as your guide can show you in four hours from Midtown to Wall Street. If the weather is nice, enjoy an optional carriage ride through Central Park. Tye's will also offer the option of Broadway Theater tonight. As part of your sightseeing tour you will visit the Empire State Building. (B/D) Day 3: Free Day New York City Breakfast is included this morning and the remainder of the day is free to explore NY at your own pace. Your tour director will have discount coupons available for shopping and will assist you in getting to museums or making other sightseeing arrangements. Optional Authentic Feast in Chinatown. (B) Day 4: New York City Breakfast is included this morning and you have another free day to explore New York. Tonight features a Harbor Cruise where you will be able to see New York illuminated in all of its splendor. (B) Day 5: Travel to Niagara Falls Depart New York City for Niagara Falls. Please be sure to have the proper documentation, as you will be crossing into Canada. Please note the hotel is within walking distance to the casino. (B/D) Day 6: Niagara Falls The day will be spent exploring the beauty of the Niagara Falls Region. On the tour, ride the Maid of the Mist where you will be able to get close to the falls, and visit Table Rock and be able to look down on the falls. Dinner will be overlooking the falls. (B/D) Day 7: Travel to NH Cross back into the US and travel across NY State to Southern NH where you will overnight in the Nashua/Manchester area. (B/D) Day 8: Maine Light House Trail Travel to coastal Maine where you will have the opportunity to photograph and visit many of the lighthouses. A Maine lobster lunch will be featured. Continue along the Maine coast, returning to the hotel in the early evening. (B/L) Day 9: Local Sightseeing NH Mass Today is a leisurely day where you start off with a visit to a Maple Sugar Farm. You will be served everything that you can imagine - from pancakes with maple syrup, to maple flavored ham, bacon and sausage, and even maple sugar for your coffee. Then travel to Concord and Lexington for a visit to where the American Revolution began and where authors such as Ralph Waldo Emerson, Louise May Allcot, and Thoreau all lived and wrote. In the afternoon, return to New Hampshire and visit the Anheuser Busch Brewery for a tour and tasting and a photo opportunity with the Clydesdale horses. If you don’t want to go sightseeing, today is a perfect day to rest or shop in area malls. (B/D) Day 10: Taste of Vermont Head west to Vermont where you will explore the Green Mountains. Stop in Waterbury to see where Ben & Jerry’s ice cream is made, tour the plant, and have a tasting. Then it is on to Cold Holler where you will taste fresh cider being pressed and sample other Vermont made products. See the village of Stowe, made famous by the Von Traps from the Sound of Music. Lunch will be at the Main St. Grill, a training ground for the New England Culinary School. You will also have time to visit the outlet stores of Cabot Creamery. (B/L) Day 11: White Mountains of NH This morning travel to the White Mountains where you hope to catch the majestic colors of the fall foliage season. Mother Nature can be unpredictable and no one knows when the colors will be at their peak. Upon arrival in the mountains, board the Cog Railroad for a trip to the summit of Mount Washington for a panoramic view. Please remember to bring warm clothing as the weather on top of the mountain changes frequently. On the return trip, from the White Mountains of NH, a special dinner will be served at the Shaker Village in Canterbury, NH. (B/D) Day 12: Plymouth This morning, head to Plymouth where you will visit the Mayflower II, a replica of the ship used to bring the pilgrims to New England shores. Then go on to explore Plimouth Plantation, a re-creation of what life was like in the 1620's. (B) Day 13: Newport, RI Today, travel to Newport, Rhode Island, where you will tour one of the famous Newport Mansions. Learn what life was like during the Gilded Age. For lunch, visit Mrs. Actors Beachwood Estate where you will dine with actors portraying the Astor Family. Carolyn Astor created the first social register in the United States and if you were not on Mrs. Astor's list of 400, you had no prominence in society. After lunch, drive the famous Ocean Drive before returning to the hotel. (B/L) Day 14: Cape Cod Travel along the Cape Cod National Seashore to Provincetown. While in Provincetown, you will have the option of going whale watching or exploring the shops of this unique community. On the tour, you will learn about the shifting sands of the Cape and the whaling industry when you stop at the National Park Visitor Center. Tonight features a farewell dinner. (B/D) Day 15: Boston This morning, tour Boston, including a visit to the USS Constitution, Quincy Market Place, the waterfront area, North End, Boston Common, and other historic sites. Transfer to the airport this afternoon for afternoon and evening departures. (B) |
