Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in New Hampshire
Travel north to southern New Hampshire. On arrival, you will be taken to the Anheuser Bush Brewery for a tour and tasting, and to see the famous Clydesdale horses. Later in the afternoon, experience a chocolate tasting and tour at the Swan Chocolate Factory. Upon arrival at the hotel, wine and cheese will be waiting. (Transfers from Manchester and Logan airports are available.) (D)

Day 2: Mt Washington Cog Railroad/ Shaker Village
Enjoy a full breakfast buffet at the hotel before heading off to explore the New England fall colors. Travel north to Bartlet, New Hampshire, where you will board the Cog Railroad for a spectacular train trip up Mount Washington. Be sure to bring your camera for the spectacular viewpoints and scenic vistas.

After lunch, travel across one of the most scenic roads in North America, the Kancamangus Highway. The Kancamangus offers some of the region's most dramatic views, with gorgeous fall foliage and charming covered bridges. Later this afternoon, visit the Shaker Village Canterbury where you will learn about the many contributions the Shaker’s made to the society. Tonight will feature a traditional Shaker-style dinner. Day 3: Cocord / Lexington / Maple Syrup
The day begins with breakfast at Parker’s Maple Barn. This breakfast will feature a sampling of New Hampshire made products. Breakfast starts with a stack of maple pancakes with maple syrup, maple cured bacon, ham and sausage, coffee, and tea. This restaurant also features a large gift shop with hand-crafted items. After breakfast, head to the North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts, where you will find out what really happened at the North Bridge and how the "shot heard round the world" was an accident. Next, travel on to Walden Pond where you will be able to walk the shores and feel what Emerson and Thoreau experienced when they began the American Literary movement.

This afternoon, visit Lexington Green where the first real battle of the American Revolution took place, and then return to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Tonight will feature a mouth watering buffet dinner where you will be able to sample cuisine from around the world. You will find two home-made soups, a large salad bar, all the shrimp you can eat, American foods, Italian foods, Greek foods, Chinese foods, a carver's station, home-made pizza, and a large dessert and ice cream bar. Day 4: Taste of Vermont
Today you will have a taste of Vermont as you see how Vermont products are made. The first stop is the Cabot Creamery, Vermont’s largest dairy cooperative. In the tasting room you will be able to sample over 50 different types of cheeses. Next, head to the infamous Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream for a factory tour and tasting. At Ben & Jerry’s you will be able to taste whatever flavor ice cream that is being produced that day.

Later in the day, visit Cold Holler where you will have the opportunity to taste fresh squeezed cider and apple cider doughnuts, as well as a variety of other Vermont-made products.

End the day with a traditional Vermont turkey dinner. (B/D)

Day 5: Maine Light House Trail
It is off to coastal Maine where you will explore the Light House Trail. The first stop will be at Nubble Light, one of the most photographed points in Maine. Next it is on to the largest lighthouse gift shop in Maine, followed by a New England lobster lunch.

This afternoon, visit Portland and the famous Portland Head Light, as well as other lighthouses in the area. (B/L)

Day 6: Boston
The day begins with a visit to historic Boston, Massachusetts. The first stop will be the USS Constitution, the oldest commissioned ship in the US Navy. Next, visit the North End of Boston where you will see the Old North Church and Paul Revere’s Home. Then it is on to the famed Quincy Market for a bit of shopping and lunch.

After lunch your tour of Boston will continue, viewing the State House, Boston Common, Trinity Church, and other Boston highlights. The last stop this afternoon will be the Kennedy Library. (B/D)

Day 7: Salem / Rockport
Visit historic Salem, home of the famous Witch Trials and the Maritime National Park. Explore the Witch Museum and learn what really happened in historic Salem, as well as meet with a real witch who will answer any questions that you may have.

Later in the day, visit scenic Rockport where you will have time to explore this unique village. (B/D)

Day 8: Home
You will be transferred to the airport for your return flight home. (B)

A $250 deposit is due at time of reservation.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations within 60 days of departure will result in a loss of your deposit. Cancellation within 45 days will result in a 25% cancellation penalty; within 30 days - a 50% penalty; within 14 days - a 75% penalty; and within 7 days - no refund.
