Day 1: Red Rock Canyon AdventureBus starts this fantastic trip by picking you and your fellow adventurers up in Las Vegas. AdventureBus will prep you for your adventure and then enjoy a comfortable journey to Red Rocks National Conservation Area, a series of sandstone canyons that beckon hikers and scramblers to their sunwarmed walls, while much of the rest of the nation is buried in snow. After a fun afternoon in the park, you'll have a sunset dinner, board the van and head out to Death Valley National Park and make camp for the evening. Day 2: Death Valley National Park Awaken to the smell of fresh coffee and a hot breakfast before beginning the tour of the largest national park in the lower 48. With temperatures routinely in the triple digits between spring and autumn equinoxes, winter and early spring is the time to visit this starkly beautiful place. Visit such attractions as Badwater Basin, the lowest spot in the U.S., at 282 below sea level. Day 3: Joshua Tree Spend the day hiking amomng giant Joshua Trees, lizards, cacti, and boulders. Spy on climbers that flock to this park for world class climbing. After an evening meal and campfire, sleep under a star-filled sky in the Joashua Tree forest of Black Rock Canyon Campground. Day 4: Mojave Preserve and Mitchell Caverns Travel to Mojave National Preserve in the morning and tour Mitchell Caverns in the early afternoon. Then hike the amazing "Hole in the Rock" trail. Camp along the Colorado River on the California-Arizona border. Day 5: Oatman Ghost Town/Hoover Dam After breaking camp, visit the remarkably well preserved ghost town of Oatman, AZ, and relive a bit of Western history. Then take scenic Route 93 to Hoover Dam, the final attraction on the tour. AdventureBus will have you back to Vegas by dinner time! |
